You know, I've never seen that "Dead & Buried" flick, but I've heard that one eye scene is really great. Is the movie good? Problem is, I don't want to do features on movies that I can't get my hands on, and I can't exactly go out 'n buy the DVD for every movie that people suggest. :/
It really is a great horror movie. I rented it on vhs a couple years ago and luckily my video store got the special edition DVD and it's still great. It's funny, creepy, and gory. A true classic.

Oh, and good call on demon knight. As soon as I saw the link for it I knew which scene you picked.

Hehe yeah I love Demon Knight, it's a great flick and definitely underrated.

Anyway, my latest page for the "greatest horror" piece is now online:

EVIL DEAD 2: DEAD BY DAWN

I hate it, but I have to agree. That's a pretty incredible scene.

Cronenberg's The Fly

Where Jeff melts the guy's hand off with his acid vomit.

Day of the Dead

Where the zombies are tearing one of the last soldiers apart and he's laughing about it, either that one, or where Rhodes gets torn in half and he shouts "Choke on it" as they're dragging his lower half away.

In a rare contribution from my old pal "Killing Joke", he's just submitted an write-up for our "greatest horror" piece. Took a while for me to get the pics together for it cuz all we had was an old VHS tape of the flick. Anyway, here ya go

SCANNERS!

Alrighty, my latest addition to the "greatest horror" piece is now up. This time, I'm covering my all-time favorite Elm Street death for Freddy.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4: THE DREAM MASTER!

Enjoy!

I just finished watching that movie a few minutes ago, that was a very cool scene.

Another movie I was think about for Best Horror Moments is Zombie. I really liked the zombie vs. shark fight and the scene where the lady's eye is poked out is a pretty famous gruesome scene.

Already covered poltergeist 2 cuz I think the worm scene is the best scene out of any o' those movies, so I doubt I'll cover any other poltergeist stuff for a while.

Anyway, I've just put up another page for the "greatest horror" piece. This time it's for John Carpenter's classic remake of "The Thing" with some of the most gruesome special effects wizardry ever seen in a horror movie.

THE THING!

Didn't get to make many additions to the list this week because I had been working on several other large pieces. Still, Killing Joke has returned once again with a new page. This time, it's all about another Fulci zombie flick - "The Beyond"

THE BEYOND!

I don't know if you're into old hammer horror at all, but maybe you could do one of the Draculas, like when he gets impaled on the cross in "Dracula has risen from the grave". That would be cool

omg! I didn't know they made a (short) movie out of that "the Raft" story, and it looks like a very accurate retelling. Down to even the gratuitous horror sex scene.

Yup, it's an awesome short story. The other two are really entertaining as well, but "The Raft" is by far the best one of all in my book.
