"many more people have been arrested than at the famously anguished Democratic convention in Chicago in 1968, there has been little serious violence"

"A State Supreme Court judge ordered New York City officials to process and release 560 people arrested during protests against the Republican National Convention after lawyers said they had been in custody at least 36 hours since their arrests, the Associated Press reported."

"1,200 [arrests] during a four-hour period Tuesday"

There are also reports of people who are just near the protesters being arrested.

I don't understand how come this isn't all over the news right now. It is unconstitutional to arrest people who are conducting peaceful protest. Does anyone else find these practices just a little bit on the fascist side?
