i said it was too fairy-tale. i said it wouldn't last, that the rosy tint would fade to grey. i said i'd never be able to give myself away again. or to him.

and then i fell in.

coated in calm and smoking from the fire, i now know a connection with another human being that i never thought possible.

kevin. he's been there for me since day one, always wanting to listen and listening well, always knowing when to give me hell. he's never once let me down, not even in the most trivial. his honor is his code. his main priority is my happiness, and he proves it every day. he gladly sacrifices himself for me and my kids, whom he loves as his own.

so we ran off and got married.
