too bad there is no legal way to recall the president

if you like the idea.. we need signatures at www.votetoimpeach.org

i have no idea how many they are up to now.. last i heard was over 3 months ago they had 500,000 .. its just got to be over a million by now but they aren't releasing a number. :/

on a side note this is kinda bunk cause the president has to be elected in order to impeach in the first place.. oh well.. i skip that notion everyday like so many millions..

Yep, Ranxer, the president was never elected. He didn't win every recount over and over again, and that fact was never solidifed by major newspapers.

It's nice to see that you have a visual representation of the roman numeral that equals your IQ in your avatar. It gives us an opportunity to ignore your ignorant statements.

hey vince, you mean to tell me that the supreme court didn't stop the recount and call the election for bush?

not only that but they sanctioned themselves.. effectivly saying that they had not set a precident for the rest of the country's courts.. i.e. do as we say not as we do for we are fucked up! heeh

where were you when that happened.. ill never forget.. i was washing dishes and thought 'holy fuck did i just hear what i thought i heard?!!"

what recounts are you talking about? i never heard of any being completed.

Ranxer, please shut up. You apparently have no fucking clue as to what you are talking about. Recounts were completed.

Please look up on the Florida issue, ignoramous: http://supct.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/00-949.ZPC.html

To my recollection, the votes were not officially recounted. Yes, various news ouitlets and interest groups held their OWN recounts, and some confirmed Bush as president. Others did not.

i wasnt talking about AFTER the election.. i was talking about the actual election, recounts after the recount was stopped and the election was called for bush are subject to all kinds of shenanigans.. ive heard stories from eye witnesses about lost vote etc.. that had nothing to do with my point.

December 8th Florida Supreme Court orders manual recount in all of state where no votes were recorded
December 9th US Supreme Court halts counting before hearing appeal
December 10th Lawyers file briefs before Supreme Court
December 11th Oral arguments before the court
December 12th At 10 PM at night the Supreme Court rules that no further recounts can take place

And that bush is the commander and thief..

i believe the supreme court censured themselves not sanctioned..my bad.. if they hadn't done that they would have set a precedent that would make almost any court appointed winner of an election possible thus making any such situation a technically illegal election.. the hypocricy and ludicrous extremes of this are just lost on you 'one and only' and vince

That's right Ranxer, you were washing your dishes.... the rest of us don't have nearly as good of an excuse for why we didn't hit the streets in protest. It's like the day Kennedy got shot, only really it's more like the day some Black people didn't get to vote, old senile Jews voted for the wrong guy, and 5% of the vote got wasted on the idealist dream of a third party candidate. Oh, and Vince, If you don't think some hanky panky went on in Jed's State, with Kathryn Harris eyeing future career moves, then you're dumber then all the chad jokes combined. Also, you gotta love a Democrat candidate handing over an electrion before the votes are counted, and a biased Supreme Court that was a major campaign issue, jumping their jurisdiction and pushing the whole mess through.

Are you sure, Kevin? From the link:

Quote:
Because Governor Bush’s margin of victory was less than “one-half of a percent . . . of the votes cast,” an automatic machine recount was conducted under §102.141(4) of the election code

If the situation were reversed, and the Supreme court had gone with Gore while W had won the popular vote, ellectoral college aside, newspaper recounts aside, do any of you honestly think the Republican party would have accepted the situation as quitely as Gore did?

The amount of carping you still here from various left of center groups is nothing beside the ourageous deafening din we would have heard from the party of Limbaugh, Ginrich and Rove.

Guys like Limbaugh and Sean Hannity had a big role in organizing the angry demonstrations outside of the recount locations. Hannity made a "call to arms", and I recall images of nasty protestors trying to push into the buildings (no tear gas for those protestors, apparently).

Had it gone the other way, there would have been talk radio encouraged riots.

If the recount would have been for Gore, I would have had a shitfit, because it would have been WRONG. Face facts: Bush won. Bush won even when they recounted votes in HEAVILY DEMOCRATIC areas, which is what Gore wanted in the first place.

At least Bush wouldn't have been walking around to this day whining about how Gore was "selected". Gore doesn't have one-millionth of the class Bush has.
