Montana is typically colder than Alaska during parts of the year. But if she lives in OR-UH-GHIN, then I assume the coastal winds keep it relatively mild year-long.
If by "relatively mild" you mean "incredibly gay", then yes. During winter it gets cold enough to be miserable but not cold enough to snow, and during the summer it gets hot enough to make me sweat uncontrollably but not hot enough to make the cold water involved with activities like supersoaker wars and giant slip-n-slides not make my lips blue. Oregon sucks.
