Maybe the episode was one huge inside joke. Like, maybe Matt and Trey got high to try and come up with some ideas, and that's the best they could come up with, so the lesson about not getting high to come up with ideas actually meant something to them.

That, and when they were high, they came up with the (god aweful) idea of Oprah's "minge" wanting some attention.

Maybe.

I mean jesus louisus its an episode of a cartoon show thats made in about a week's time, why are people holding it to such high standards?

I don't understand why people want to hate South Park so badly. Its a TV Show, theres going to be bad episodes, and theres going to be bad seasons even.

It's because it's so wildly popular, elietist comedy types feel they should say they are getting bored of it and have a craving for some new cutting edge underground comedy.
Same thing with family guy, although i'll admit they have got somewhat over the top with the 'random interchangable jokes' it's still better than alot of the other crap floating around out there.

It wasn't one of the greatest episodes ever, but it still made me laugh.

I want to laugh when I watch TV and I just don't laugh enough at South Park to justify the amount I cringe at each episode. It's not a high standard.

Yeah it wasn't a very good episode but I did laugh several times. I don't go "expecting the world" when I tune into South Park. I just like the show. Even the bad episodes have their moments.

I don't expect brilliant eye opening social commentary everytime I watch South Park, but the "Oprah's vagina" episode was probably the worst episode they've ever made. And not just because the boys weren't in it, because the "Not Without My Anus" episode is one of my favorites.

Oprah Book Club jokes are old too.

Ok, tonights episode was so much better that I completely forgive them for Mingey. Al Gore and the Man-Bear-Pig. He's half man, half bear, and half pig.

I got that the manbearpig was global warming, but I didn't get why Gore was made out like Napoleon Dynamite.

*spoiler, I guess*

Regardless, worth it to see Cartman crap out treasure.

Is Al Gore actually doing anything? I mean, in the past five years? I honestly don't know. It's like the idea is "here's some conservativism as you've come to expect, and for good measure we'll throw in some non-sequitur assholeism." It just seems like a bit of a contrast with their allegations of Family Guy being too random.

A joke's irrelevance to the story is bad, not randomness. They want randomness with a point, I guess.

I didn't really get the "IM CEREAL" part, was the joke that cereal sounds a bit like serious, or something a bit less lame?

The rest was pretty funny :D

As the general consensus goes, I'm optimistic but wary of the new Futurama episodes. It's like your dead grandpa. You miss him and all, it's too bad he's not there anymore, but if he came back it'd be a little awkward and gross.

Or like cancer. It's fun the first time but now it's just getting old

or like

This was a great episode. I was wondering how they were going to handle having Cartman behave for the rest of his life, and the ending was perfect.
