heavy metal is not a subgenre anymore. It might have been a subgenre of 'hard rock' back in the late sixties. I think 40 years of largely independent growth are enough to safely say metal is a little realm into itself

not to say that most people into metal aren't colossal faggots or that this is an important topic to discuss, but hey, since you're being a little bitch for no reason...
