Old Jul 1st, 2004, 04:20 PM        question to the photoshop / illustrator gods
Is there any way to "vectorize" a jpg via illustrator (I think) or photoshop ? I am an old school wimin and used to do my stuff with my little hands and a rotring but I need to do something clean to be printed on a poster with the logo below - thanks for any tip.

And, just for future reference, you can also download CorelTRACE, and it has zillions of options for tracing raster images into vectors. For instance, you can lessen the amount of nodes, so there's not so much file information. You can also give it a woodcut or a mossaic trace so it's a vector image that resembles a filtered raster image.

Yes! Thank you, I've been looking for an app that can do that for some time now.

I think you have to left-click and hold to get the alternative tool modes.
