And I like how Defense/Offense ups/downs are practically mandatory--adds some strategy to the game.

isn't there some sort of syndrome named after Seinfield were you laugh so hard you actually faint? When you have to transport water from that one lake to the other and you try to do it with those two little claymen kids I came very close to that point.

I got about twenty-three hours out of it. That is short for an RPG--Mario & Luigi takes about twice as long, come to think of it.

Earthbound games always seem really long to me because you have to spend a huge amount of time in every major location.

I also hate grinding so I keep trying to just run past every enemy, then end up just having to go back and level up anyway because I can't beat whatever bullshit overpowered boss is at the end of the cave I'm tooling around in.

Also also doing anything to drive the plot along in the SNES one always gave me an enormous feeling of acomplishment, so it always felt like I was doing a shitton of stuff when really it might have been barely anything.
