Looks like they just lazily created Marvel 3d Models on the SF4 engine and re-titled it MVC 3.

It would've been better if they've followed in the foot steps of the newest King of Fighter game. Those hand drawn sprites were amazing. That should be the future of 2D fighters.

I want that to be the case, smooth it out a bit more than that though so it flows like a versus game should
