I'm not making this up. Barbara Bush at the Whitehouse Press corps dinner made a joke about how little W knew about farm life. It ended like this:

"he tried to milk the horse. What's more--it was a male horse."

Now, not that I don't think that's kind of funny, but...

now stop me if I'm wrong here, did the Mom of the More Moral than Thou family just tell a joke about her husband masturbating a horse?

Cause I kind of think she was making a joke, see, wherein her husband, the leader of the world's last superpower, beat off a farm animal.

Maybe I'm wrong, but ... they didn't even makes them kind of jokes on 'Hee-Haw'.

I liked the fact that this was such an important event that it made the front page on most of today's major papers.

well, that's a lot more interesting than the press trying to punch a story out of Laura Bush saying her hubby's boring.

I just wrote a piece about the speech for Nat Lamp. I hope they buy it. My youngest needs new shoes.

Did the laughter sound canned to any of you also? Scripted press conferences AND laugh tracks. Preposterous, I say!
