I don't care what any of you bastards think. This movie was fucking hilarious. I just saw it for the time tonight.

I can't wait for the sequel.

The commentary on that movie was awesome too. Steve kept breaking out into song and never shuts up, essential to a good commentary. He claims the sequel won't be out for a while due to all the damn edited shots it took. I imagine something like that would be as hard as hell. It's also funny to read the reviews of people who didn't get it.

LOL

On the subject of the movie, I found it enjoyable, though it seemed to slump a bit here and there. I guess the only time I really groaned was during the Matrix spoof, but I suppose when the movie was in production it was only beginning of such spoofs.
I expected a little more spoofing in some areas than others, though overall it was pretty damn hilarious. Most of the strength was bashing on the dubbing, though it gets a bit tired.

Yeah, some moments seemed to slow down in the humor area. But the movie was hilarious.

The Matrix thing was a little cheesy, but the cow fight was still funny. And I loved the fight at the beginning against the 20+ fighters.

The Matrix spoof and the entirity of the Cow Fight annoyed the shit out of me, but the rest of the movie was fucking hilarious.

Favorite line? "This is Wimp Lo. We purposely trained him wrong, as a joke." (paraphrased, so fuck you people who tell me I'm off by a word or two)

Kung Pow did indeed rule, I knew it would even though the commercials made it look like ass. Why he included that annoying fucking cow fight is beyond me. I can see how 5 year olds would enjoy that scene, but otherwise, it was horrible.

Most of the movie, however, was absolutely hilarious. From the very beginning "Ah a baby! Ok, bye bye!" "ah ah ah ah ahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaah!" to the very end "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Classic.

Now he just needs to release High Strung on DVD this year like he was saying might happen.

Like was said. The Matrix spoofy thing was probably one of the first, but since the movie took so long to make, it seemed really stupid. I think if it wasn't show in commercials, it would have been funnier.

The Thumb films are also cool. Worth the money. But I can't imagine how something like that can even get up off the ground and get recognition. Oh well, look at Evil Dead.

Some of the Thumb movies are good, and some are just completely shitty and unfunny.

Same goes for Jimmy Neutron.

I wonder how much money Steve made off that? (he's writer/producer)

If you want to save some dough, Deepdiscountdvd.com is selling the 'All Thumbs' set for the price of two or three of the films. You know, in case you really want to get the good ones and have some glittery frisbees for the upcoming summer months.

I wholeheartedly agree. I can never get sick of this movie.

On a side note, Jamesman, I don't think there will be a sequel. At the end of the movie, when they show the 'scenes' from 'Kung Pow II', you'll notice (if you have the DVD) that it's the exact same scenes from the Deleted Scenes.) Steve did mention a sequel, but if memory serves, he said it was LONG and EXPENSIVE, so it'd still be a few years before we see it. Here's hoping there IS a sequel.

"Black shirt...red.....black.....red....."

I loved the concept of doing the voice overs. It's given me an idea to watch the Tenth Commandment with the volumes turned off. It ought to make for four hours worth of fun and entertainment.

Geggy, we used to do that with old Westerns and Samurai movies. It just sucks that we weren't as witty as MST3k. Now there's a thought..

Yeah, I have the DVD, and it was obvious that the scenes were from the first movie. But it was recently announced and Steve and Jennifer Tung were starting work on the sequel now.

Not all of the Kung Pow II trailer footage was from the cut scenes. A lot of it was newly filmed like the 'I see you've brought your friends this time' part.

All the footage seen there was made with the first movie in mind. Some of it was just made for the hell of it, while others were alternate scenes.

Being a fan of crappy Kung Fu movies made it much more enjoyable for me, I hate explainign the jokes to people though, they dont get it.

Oh well, as long as I like it, its all that matters.

"thats a lot of nuts" and the dog barks are some of the best bits in the movie.
