This is going to be a prequel, it looks like. Snake looks younger than in mgs2, he's still got the full cheek going. I'm just wondering how you'd manage to maintain a stealth action game in the middle of the jungle? Whatever it is, i know it's going to totally kick ass, as long as it doesn't go the way of Capcom and just start churning out the same game every year to make more money. :/

Metal Gear usually doesn't disappoint (excluding Snake's Revenge bleh). MGS was better than MGS2 but MGS2 was still a awesome game overall. I can't wait.

Snake's Revenge doesn't count. It wasn't even made by the MG team, and will never be acknowledged in he storyline.

Anyway, I don't know how you can tell Snake's age from a low-quality vieo, Ninjavenom. Frankly, he could be younger, could be shaven, could just look younger from eating raw snake. Who knows?

As for Jungle stealth. There's tree. There's rocks. There's squirrels. And I'm sure there's going to be a base or two you infiltrate.

It was part of a story, and I like the story. So I didn't mind Raiden.

I've only played MSG2 and only twice over at a friend's house.

I have yet to find a game I genuinely had as much fun playing.

What system is it out for? MGS2 is now out for all of the systems. I wonder if this will be the same. This game looks like it is going to be GRAND!

Snake Eater??? I got a gut feeling that's not the official title of MGS3. By looks of this movie, it could a remake of the first Metal Gear game but I'm just gonna wait till E3 for the official announcement.

EDIT- I just found out what a "snake eater" is. It's a military slang for members of the Army Rangers. They got that nickname because their specialist jungle training involves cooking and eating snakes. Now the title makes sense.

Everyone: If it's a prequal, I'm gonna scream like a little girl. I'm dying to find out what happened to the patriots. My guess is sophisticated A.I. took over the S3 project, and it's like the matrix but they can't be bothered to enslave us with a vitual world.

That sagging cheek is a brush of shadow, which there's no way you could distinguish as being present in the new video. And the heavy brow is what we like to call a "bandana."

Ah, it appears there really is little difference between the two upon a second viewing, James, but that doesn't mean that it still can't be a prequel. I doubt Solid Snake (who no longer works for the US government, mind you) would be sneaking around in a jungle during wartime wearing dogtags in anything but a prequel to what events we've already seen.

Sorry to bump such an old thread but I thought this was interesting:

No radar in MGS3?

If this is true it's not that big of a deal cuz in the harder difficulties in the other games you have no radar anyway... but still gonna change the dynamic quite a bit.
