Old Nov 11th, 2007, 05:26 PM        Referrals?
According to my profile, I have one "referral." Not knowing what this meant, I looked it up in the FAQs, which says that if I use this special link and people use it to come here and register an account, I gain a referral point, which I guess in most internets is considered a good thing. I've never used that super-special-awesome linky thing, so I have no idea who vBulletin thinks I referred. Sure, I've linked to choice threads for my friends, but I'm pretty sure it's never resulted in any of them registering, and it wasn't the special link anyway. What the fuck? Any way to find out who "I" referred?

When you register, there's a little field where you can enter the screen name of the person who referred you. I'm not sure what the purpose of it is unless you're on some kind of site that pays people who bring in traffic. :o

Ah. That might my lurker friend (from my sig) who registered an account a while back with intent on being a douche for a while. He probably keyed my name in. He was Idi Amin. I'm truly sorry.

Edit: let me just make it clear that i did not invite him, he knew about the site through me and then joined of his own accord. YOU JERKS.
