GEE I DON'T KNOW

The re-release of Alien looks like a spectacular waste of time to me. I think they're calling it a Director's Cut, but can there really be that much left to add, ten to fifteen years after its release?

Didn't you know that there was an Alien-Ripley sex scene in the first movie? How do you think they found out she was pregnant in the third?

It was 15 minutes long, and you get to see a number of pleasurable uses for the Alien's probiscus. Audiences weren't ready for human-extraterrestrial love in the late '70s, though, so the scene was cut. You can download it on a few underground newsgroups.

Theres also the added scene of Tom Skerrit trapped inside of an alien hive with maggots all over his face and body. Ripley finds him and he mumbles, "kill me." Oh yeah then Ripley torches his sorry ass with the flambethrower.

Did anyone else think that the only good thing about ALIEN 3 was the trailer?

Just the fact you get to watch the greatest thiller of all-time on the big screen should be enough.

This box set will rock, it's going to add another hour to Alien3 restoring it to Fincher's original cut. I can't wait for this.

Great, that means we get to watch Ripley run around lost in the hallways with a pair of scissors in her hands for another hour.

I thought the topic said "New Alien Bot Sex" and I was all like, "Spiffy!"

Now I know the truth. Heh, I can't wait. Seeing the movies on the big screen is going to rock.

EDIT: Why the hell did I post that? God, I suck...

You're only going to see "Alien" on the big screen, not the others.

Nah, that would have to be Charles Dutton. The rest of the movie could take a flying leap off the fucking Dystopic Planet England and straight into a fucking wig shop. The fuck why they didn't pay Cameron a few thousand to write something more action-packed is beyond me.

Only good thing about this movie is I first saw it right before I saw Brain Donors, which is the best comedy ever.

Yep, I picked it up on Tuesday. I haven't watched any of it yet though, but the gatefold is about as tall as I am when it's fully extended.

Fuck? 9 Discs? That's pretty insane for a 4 movie dvd set. Did anyone actually enjoy Alien Resurection? It left an odd craving of wanting to kill Drew Barrymore after the show and make a shotgun out of a thermos.

I heard that the directors cut of 3 is not really an official directors cut, it was just a bunch of crap he cut out on purpose because it managed to cross the line of suckyness.
