why is it that nobody seems to mind ranxer? he's just as nutty as vince and as arrogant as OaO, yet I see very few people give him the same kind of shit. is it because he's ideologically similar to most people here?

I can't speak for everyone here, but I get a sense of compassion and a desire for fairness from ranxer, even if I don't agree with all his ideas.

Vinny is a full-blown lunatic, and OAO is just a smug little prick who likes to show off the new big word he learns each day.

There's something sad about Ranxer in that he means well, and can't tell when he's stepped overboard. He's just impressionable, and doesn't hide it nearly as well as the others on this board who I suspect suffer from the same thing. You can't help but feel a little condescending towards someone who puts their desires to have a political persona (in this case, a counterculture leftist radical one) above common sense, but you do it with the hope they'll come around one day and be real emberassed by the things they used to say or do.

Then there's oao and vince who are stubborn and set in thought. That's far more appealing to attack I guess, but it's just as boring. In fact, all these threads made for the purpose of "mocking" a consistant poster to this forum is pretty fucking stupid, and has nothing to do with anything. I'm bored with the 50 Vince threads. People need a new hobby.

the level of brainwashing in the u.s. and the sound of me throwing myself bodily against it with a donQuixote(somewhat ineffectual) insanity might come off as arrogant though i guess. oh well, it's still a free country right?

I've never seen Ranxer post anything that irritates me as much as Vince and OAO.

I think ranxer is more amusing than annoying. But I don't see whats so bad about OAO, although thats a whole 'nother topic.

Amen to that. If someone is way too far to the left, they care too much about other people to the point that they want to interfere in aspects of life in which they should not be interfering. If someone is way too far to the right, they care about only themselves and would let a person die if it would be even a minor inconvenience to help.

Geeze, Abcdxx, that was possibly the most condescending post I've ever read here. Not just to Ranx, but to... well, anyone who might disagree with you. I disagree with you almost always, but I wouldn't say you were 'impressionable' but good at 'hiding it'. One note, maybe, but your opinions are your own.

And your right. There's no place for Mockery here. That's why the site is called I-serious.

As far as Ranx goes, he's certainly on the far end of the curve, but that's has nothing to do with arrogance. I've never seen him praise his own intelligence and imply the reason others think differently is that they're stupid, or mean or evil. I do that. I'm arrogant.

To be honest I don't read many of Ranxer's posts because the all-small-letters, no paragraphs thing really puts a strain on my eyes after a while.

Obviously my posts are my opinions. Thanks for pointing that out. Maybe that's confusing to people who just post OTHER peoples opinions? Mine just happen to annoy or threaten some of you. Yay!

In the meantime, Burbank - your Vince posts are past the point of mockery, and just bordering on the obsessive. I know you hate to agree with me, but can't we agree that even a good joke can be run into the ground?

I disagree that this one has been. Vinth is a sadness to me in his current weakened condition, but in full flower I find him a thing of endless beauty. Humor is subjective. Allow an old man his few pleasures in life.
