Just because it was mentioned I would also like to mention that the Evil Dead remake, which was to be funded by both Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi, has been canceled due to how the fan base reacted so negatively to the idea. The original idea Bruce and Sam had was to let someone else take a turn at making an Evil Dead movie, without Ash in it. I think it would have been interesting.
