I know that everyone who reads DC Comics has heard of the cities of Metropolis and Gotham City, and many of you know that Metropolis is Chicago and Gotham City is New York, but there are a few locations that I haven't been able to discover.
First, the comic/cartoon Static Shock takes place in a city called Dakota, but where on Earth is that place?
Second, what's the name of the town the Teen Titans operate in? I'm pretty sure the real-world location is San Francisco, but I don't know what DC calls their city.
Third, (this is possibly just in the cartoon) the Teen Titans set up a second branch, Titans East, in a town they called Steel City, but where is it? Judging solely by the name, I'm tempted to say Pittsburgh but, if memory serves me right, the tower Cyborg helped Titans East build was at the base of a cliff at the edge of a sea or ocean.
Fourth, just where is Smallville, Kansas? I'd like to know what small town or at least what part of that state the Kent family farm is in.
That's all of the obscure comic-book locations I can think of, but feel free to ask any questions you may have about the geography of the DC or Marvel Universe.

Gotham is actually in New Jersey and Metropolis is in Delaware.

I believe DC calls the city "San Francisco". Mind-blowing, eh?

I read that too. But I think Delaware is only where the "resting state" of Metropolis is. DC kind of moves it around to where it needs to be. Less now then in, say, the seventies, but they still move it sometimes. After all, the main reason DC made-up cities for its heroes is so they could re-organzie their world in order for their stories to make more sense.
