The shading didn't come out nearly as i expected. In fact, it looks like absolute ass. :/

Hey Ninjavenom. Since the last time you posted art, you've improved lots. Your anatomical understanding is pretty much solid, although Jason's head is bigger than it should be. A normal head should be about 1/6.5 of total height (not exactly certain). Yours is about 1/5 eyeballing it. Besides that, the arms are about right in length, although the right (our POV) one is longer than the other.

The pencil texture on the overalls is good. But you must select a lightsource, and shade accordingly. Right now, there's no highlighting/shading on the pic that I can see. I suggest an overhead lightsource for starting out.

The hatchet is cool.

Yeah, the last samurai picture was absolute ass. I tried something far too complicated for me, and it didn't turn out well. the head was hideous.

Looking at the neck of Jason now, though, i do see that it's a bit larger. I originally intended the light source (not that i really thought about it much) to be to the viewer's right, as evidenced by the darker shading down his left leg and near the armpits. It didn't come out that well though, as seen, so i'll have to work on my light sources and highlighting techniques. I've found that using circular strokes of shading helps to blend ares quite well, and i like how i used that on his left side. I did also notice that the right arm was longer than the left, but i decided that since it was already drawn, and the picture was originally meant to be a doodle, i wouldn't mess with it. the hatchet is the one from Jason X, when he finds it on the medical examiner's table.
