It seems unclear yet as to whether or not this is the case. I heard we may have gotten his kid(s).....?

When you blow the shit out of a structure like that, is pretty difficult to know what you did and didn't do, particularly if you can't get in on the ground to look at it.

Anyway, I think this strike and the revelation of it is rather telling. In my opinion, it puts to bed all the previous speculation of whether or not Saddam was killed/injured in the initial strike of the war. Obviously the intel folks must have come to the conclusion that he is still alive, or they wouldn't be targeting places they think he may be.

I totally agree. Now the question becomes was the intel placing Sadam and sons at the site they bombe so vigorously correct?

Very hard to say and forensics is difficult after you drop four 2 thousand lbs. bombs.

This may be the point at which we cease to know Saddams fate. If he survived and does not intend to fight to the death, now would be the time to disapear, since his demise will be so hard to verify.

f he does intend to carry on, I'd look for some kind of appearance within twenty four hours.

It might turn out that Saddam will end up like Hitler.

Is he really dead? Was that his tooth? Are these semen stains on this pair of pants? Where's my burrito?

I kind of like the rumors (?) that U.S. soldier took shits and showers in his presidential palace. That might be enough to smoke him out of hiding.

In the back of my little brain I always envision that the CIA has caught Osama and they will catch Saddam and the world will never know.

What would catching them and prosecuting them do exept antagonize there believers. Never to be found is an end and a beginning of answers that would eventually come with a little sodium penathol.

Gee I wonder why Osama hasn't been brought up in the news lately

Must be because of that war . Seriously, why is it that we Americans must be focused on ONE fucking thing at a time in the news. "Boo Hoo 9-11", "Bla bla bla bla Al Queda bla bla bla Osama not found yet" then instantly the next fucking thing you know "bla bla bla Iraq" "bla war in Iraq bla" NOTHING about Osama bin Laden's status on what the hell has happened with him, for once I actually thought the people that innocently died on 9-11 were actually going to NOT die in vain... I must be wrong then. At least Afghanistan got a new government out of it .
