Hey Vince, I don't have any black friends, am I a racist? I only know one black persons name - but I don't ever speak to him. I don't work with black people. I didn't go to school with black people. I have never lived, and probably never will live with a black person. I don't spend time with any black people ever, and I rarely ever have to 'deal' with anyone who isn't white or asian.

When I see a black person in the street I sometimes say in my head "black", then feel stupid and make an effort to not look.

Does this sound racist to anyone?

Yes, Kelly, I will admit that I even notice that certain groups have their own idiosyncracies, I never pretended that I don't. What I dont understand are the "White Power" people and groups of similar beliefs. And Vince, I said DISCRIMINATION, not RACISM. I was including hatred of gays, mentally handicapped, and any religious background. If your going to post, Vince, read the thread first.
