Aquaboy - cartoon - help needed!

Can anyone enlighten me? I have a memory as a very small child - in the late 70's of watching a kids cartoon called Aqua Boy. All I remember is that he lived underwater and had big blue eyes. I've tried looking it up but to no avail. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

I also have been trying to find this old cartoon. Aquaboy had to chew gum or something so he could breath under water. Does that sound familier ?
I remember watching this in the late 60's.
