Sacramento, CA. Why? Well lets think off all the great things you folks can do! You can experience the joy of being in the city with the greatest basketball team in the US, the Kings. What else? Well there is always Hobo Renee who can guide you around, and maybe even Jixby Phillips would come on down and help me out. We've got Old Town, tons of punk rock clubs, bars, etc. Also, Sacramento has an airport...ooooh cool! Also, it's a short drive from both the mountains and lake tahoe along with 1 1/2 short hours from San Fransisco for all you international folks. There is also a Six Flags about 45 minutes away, and if you come during the end of summer the State Fair will be going on. Plus, since Sacramento is a medium sized big city the lodging will be far less than that of SF, Boston, NYC, etc. Sacramento is also home to a very posh youth hostel, cheap cheap! And the best part is that it's on the west coast. Word.

The big Canadian cities have pretty much everything big American cities have, and with a few less morons. West Edmonton mall's pretty cool but there's no way there'll EVER be a mock meet anywhere near my province, so I'll just stop....here.

Glowbelly was on to something... How about Vegas? As far as entertainment goes, Vegas is a feckin' mecca. Tickets are always cheap as hell, too. This would afford us West Coasters a chance to go somewhere reasonably close and the East Coasters can go a long distance for a cheap price. And it's not like vehicles will be necessary because everything cool in Vegas is in the span of 2 miles. Lodging is cheap. Food is cheap. Hookers are cheap. The entertainment is unbound.

I can honestly say that if it's on the East coast, the odds of most Mockers in the west being able to swing it are slim to none.

I can tell you you probably wouldn't want to go to New Orleans, speaking as someone that lives in Louisiana, unless of course you want the Mock-Meet to turn into a pukefest/alcoholocaust. New Orleans is best in small doses, and you definitely DON'T want to stray too far from the Quarter.

I wouldn't mind going to a mock meet but who knows how you guys would react to a (relatively) newb being there?

Aye, but the opposite is also true. I'll try to make it wherever it is, but I'm going to be working a lot of OT to afford a trip out west. This issue has come up before. Until we're all rich and famous, seperate Mock Meets for the opposite sides of the country are reality.

But I've always wanted to go to Vegas. If I ever won the lottery, I would personally fund a Mock Meet in Vegas.

I'm not even crazy about the idea of vegas, but I'd choose that over boston in a heartbeat. Not saying I'm going for sure if it's in vegas or anything... hell, i'm not sure if I'll be able to afford to go anywhere for a while.
