Trying to help a buddy remember the name of this movie, I swear I know it and have seen it before, but I can't seem to recall the title:

"The jist of it is that these kids have some type of goo that can make pictures in magazines turn real. (Not Weird Science, though.) So, of course they would pour it on a couple pictures of hot babes but the babes would get too enthusiastic and nearly smoother them to death. The kids decide to put the goo away, but end up spilling it on a picture of a monster when they leave the room. Classic 80s."

Any ideas? It's on the tip of my tongue damnit, but I can't seem to find the title and it's not in my DVD collection, I already checked.

That's an episode from Amazing Stories called "Miscalculation".

Ah yes, that's it! Thanks Dextire... no wonder I couldn't find it. I remembered it as a movie when it was an episode. Always loved that show.

I loved that show. The Doll starring John Lithgow was my favorite episode. I really liked the Dorthy and Ben as well. I wish season 2 were available on DVD though

Also as an aside to Rog, no need to explain why you mistook an Amazing Stories episode for something else. The show has that effect on people, I got it confused with Twilight Zone from the 80s all the time

EDIT: Also we should change this to a "remember Amazing Stories?" thread

Hmm... my favorites are probably Hell Toupee and The Greibble, but they're all good.
It's like Tales From The Darkside or Monsters, you just looked forward to the next episode and enjoyed every minute of it.

And you gotta love Christopher Lloyd's severed head screaming "SEX made you do it, Mr. Brand!" in Go to the Head of the Class.

Is it weird is my favorite episode of Tales From the Darkside is the one with the Grither? It was the least scary episode, but I think I enjoyed it way more than I was supposed to.
