Pent, I agree with you on Colt McCoy. In the 3rd round, if he does anything it will be a positive. But the Browns are stating they plan on sitting him for at least the first year. Probably a good idea, but it will definitely be a "wait and see" on him.

Like you said, even if nothing comes of it, it was a worth while way to spend a 3rd round pick. If he pays attention for a season or two to what the vet QB and he offensive coaches tell him, he should pay off.

I bet the Cleveland fans remember a certain Akili Smith being drafted #5 or some such position by Cincinnati and being dubbed the "quarterback of the future" for the Bengals. How'd that work out again?

EDIT: And didn't Cleveland that same year draft somebody named Tim Couch #1?

The saga of Chris Henry continues long after his untimely death.

Head Trauma = CTE - wow, what a coincidence!

I want to congratulate the Bengals on surpassing Cirque du Soleil as the most interesting circus in the world

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/t...Bengals-072710

Pacman, TO, and Ochocinco are all together. With their powers combined I expect something even bigger than Captain Planet to emerge.

Something like Chernobyl or the Hindenburg

The Anarchist Cookbook can't believe such a volatile recipe exists

And it will be oh so fun to watch unfold

Week one well underway, and the Eag's start in typical fashion - come out as if they're still on vacation, then come on strong late to make it seem like they almost had a chance.

Losers.

I heard something about a union lockout for next season or something too. Anyone hear about that?

Yep. Most of what I hear is that it's 90% certain to happen. Of course, that could be a negotiating ploy (by whom, I'm unsure), as the NFL is all about the Benjamins.

I wonder which side will be the first to claim "poverty"?

I'm glad Houston beat the Colts.

I'm glad the Cowgirls lost.

I'm glad the Saints beat the Vikes.

I'm glad the 49ers seem to be imploding.

Week 3 saw the Eags take the "quarterback controversy" idea up to 11. Wherefore art thou, Kevin Kolb?

The best quotation I heard was from Donovan McNabb, stating, after his offense failed to capitalize on three trips inside the 20, settling for 3 each time:

"When you get in the red zone, you've just got to score. You can't keep getting field goals. That's not going to cut it."

Plus, isn't it a little early to be firing your staff? Seems more than a little desperate.

Vick played against the 2 worse pass defense teams. Granted he's done an amazing job in stepping up and filling the position that Kolb once held, but it's too early to be comfortable in week 3. Week 6-8 will be a real test for Philadelphia and Vick if he can come out on top in those 3 games.
