Navi was admittedly poorly planned. You have to wonder if they even tested the game with sound if they let it go live with that bit of repetitive voice acting in it. Though I only found Navi to be a mild annoyance. Like many others, I just listened to music instead.

The problem with most people is that they most likely ignored her advice and had to endure the shrill every 5 seconds until they caved. I did not notice this often because I was a witless twat, and needed her to hold my hand.

"hey listen" was pretty annoying but I liked how if you locked on to an enemy and "HEY LISTENED" she'd tell you interesting little factoids about all the various monsters in the game.

Why choose Navi when there's this SOB? Admittedly the cosntant "HEY LISTEN" was annoying, but a thirty something year old guy who constantly believes he's a child? That's plain scary.

I knew it was going to hit me, because I could never shoot them down. The Medusa Heads from Castlevania- Since when did mythology state that Medusa killed people by having her head fly at them and knock them off of platforms to their death? The Eagle from Ninja Gaiden(NES)- Same thing as above. Liquid Snake from Metal Gear Solid- "Damn you, Snake! I got all the recessive genes! Like that one that makes me a crazy asshole who has to be killed more times than that one guy from Die Hard!" Whisper from Fable- I can't put my finger on what's the most irritating aspect of Whisper, but it could be that noise she makes when you smack her a good one with a power attack. Fargoth from Morrowind- Something made the fine for assault worth it to punch him... That's all I can think of at the moment...

I hated Hokutomaru. Him and his gigantic ninja stars. One of the few people fighters in the game with a projectile that doesn't run along the ground. I remember that I only beat him once, with Freeman, my avatar. Then I got raped by Griffon Mask/Tizoc, who has SNK Boss Syndrome.
