I'm not too fond of british comedy sitcoms but this show is just too funny. I started watching the first few shows of season one on dvd and the boss is such a total jackass. One of these shows I can truly relate to. Even though it was filmed somewhere in the UK, the similiarities of workplaces over there and here in the US is astonishing.

My Dad has a collection of the office DVDs. They are so funny even though I think British Comedy is not that great (because I can't catch the accent) the American Version to me is not as good

Wow, I'm actually writing about remakes like The Office and people being afraid of English accents right now.

Well... yes. And also an article. But not right now, because now I'm at work.

I like Black Books, but the 3rd series was a bit shite and the Office is consistently funnier.

Yeah, nothing Black Books did could ever match the first season. Except the very last episode, where Bernie's bitterness flows like wine.

I just watched the first season again. It's much funnier during second viewing because I've gotten to know the characters more. The first minute of the show was already hysterically funny, just right off the bat. During the interviews, I love how Brent flaunts his egoism and tells how everyone how much they praise him then he looks at the camera like he knows what he's talking about. Oh, man, that really hit the spot!
