Old Jan 10th, 2007, 10:23 PM        The new Isis album.
So "In the Abscense of Truth" came out in October so this is a late post. I got it when it came out but I'm listening to it for the first time. They're my favorite for the instrumental (for the most part) metal scene (following Pelican). I wanted to know if anyone else got the record and liked how they cleaned up the vocals and turned the amps down. It makes a good record to spin. Not too heavy, not too mellow.

I do want to check out this band out of curiosity. I absolutely hate Pelican though.

I agree. Pelican is basically Isis without vocals.

For some reason he sounds like a pro skater. Am I by any chance right or did I just fuck up big time?

THIS IS ABOUT ISIS.

I think Red Sea was better than Celestial. And Oceanic had its heavy moments as did Panopticon.
