Eh, Kahl is insane.

I use to write down the strange dreams, the ones that stand out. I have so many that I can't remember all but the best. (the Stuka dream)

The scariest dream involved me when I was like 7 or 8.

I grew up on a single street on a hill crest in the middle of Tacoma's resident neighborhood(Tacoma is nothing but hills). 2 rows of houses, 1 street in the middle, on a small hill.

All the nieghborhood kids would run out and play in the street, we had no traffic. In this dream, all the kids where out. There was about 20 something of us total. All different colors and crap.
My mom told me not to look down the hill. But I looked. And saw a 50 foot evil horse looking up at me. That thing chased me all over. Appearing inside houses, jumping out of cars (it could change sizes) Generally the entire area was its domain. All the kids scattered, leaving me in the middle of the street. I sat there, rubbing my eyes, knowing it was a dream, and trying to wake up. I couldn't. Not for a good while. It was laughing at me the entire time, in a crazy old lady way.

That dream freaked me out.

I hate "chased" nightmares. I had a crapload of 'em when I was a kid. Usually involved a Grim-Reaper-type phantom.

When I was three or four, I had TONS of falling dreams. They made me afraid of heights to this day.

we must all be really smart super creative dream people since we can remember our dreams and they are so fantastically inventive and invigorating!!!

i hate falling dreams too, the worst falling dream didn't even happen to me (i wasn't the one falling). It happened a year or so ago. It was a crazy dream through and through and it had some "Chasing" (somebody got caught stealing or something) we walked outside onto this ledge(like a cliff ledge it was really high) and I think we were in las vegas and they were opening some new hotel, but it was only half finished as in onlysupports and foundation. They were giving tours and the line was long a bunch of people got on before me and when it was almost our turn suddenly the entire building collapsed on itself andall the people inside died...all the screaming was horrible.

I'venever written down any dreams dream journals are gay. I just happen to have a good memory andalso like I said I practice canstenad as art of dreaming. Part of whatI did with it was do my best to remember all of my dreams...

do any of you guys have lucid dreams where the thing that ticks you off to it being lucid is that you've already had the dream before? Sort of like dream deja vu.

I never, ever have dreams make any sort of sense whatsoever.

Well, they make sense while I'm actually dreaming them, they don't really make sense the next day. Though I do have dream deja vu constantly. I'm always sure that I've done it before.

I always dream, but rarely remember them for more than a few minutes after waking up.

Rarely something will happen to remind me of the dream and suddenly I can remember all sorts of details.

I dreamt a lot more and remembered more of my dreams when I was younger.

I had a dream once like that episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark where that one kid got a virus while in virtual reality and he couldn't escape it and a serial port appeared in his hand and the physical manifestation appeared and was going to kill him. That scared me. I'm going to try and remember tonight's dream.

Hence, the reason I use to write em down. The good ones.

one thing that helps with remembering dreams is thinking about them and analyzing them as soon as you wake up. The longer you think about it while you're awake the more likely you are to remember it, but I don't know why you would want to. Dreams are pretty poinless overall.

unless you're doing canstenada type shit. Y ou guys need to read that book. I'm going to find a copy online.
http://www.prismagems.com/castaneda/donjuan9.html

there it is! if you go back another page it has some other stuff by him. If you haven't heard of him Carlos is this guy who met an old indian shaman and he taught Carlos how to be a shaman. He sort of shares the lesson and his experiences, sometimes his writings are almost journalistic.
I don't know how "Real" it is but the ideas make sense to me. Like when you are in your dreams and you've gone lucid sometimes it's hard to hold onto that state, or hard to focus on objects and keep the reality around you as you want it. Focusing the dream enviroment is key and is where the magic comes from (like with most other forms of magic, not the stupid kind the serious kind, useage of the mind against nature is basically magic).
So he gives an example of how to learn to focus it by observing objects and attempting to keep them from changing into other objects or moving around or whatever like dreams often do. Then to try to do the same with an entire room etc etc. Basically just learning to control your mind in a dream is basically what I think it comes down to. I haven't really read it for a while but maybe ill go back to it and see what's beyond that, but I remember alot of talking about ASSEMBLAGE PoINTS and shit.

I've had premonitions of minor things, usually a week or so in advance.

Today, during class I passed out and was looking down on my body somehow. I couldn't tell wether it was a dream or not since in most of my dreams, questioning reality never seems to cross my mind. Then I saw the teacher coming and instantly woke up

The whole experience lasted like 10 seconds.

Ya, it's like the most bizarre random crap could be happening and you think that it's completely normal, or that it has somehow happened before and you have sort of a deja vu. Like whenever I have dreams where I'm in public without my clothes, I'm somewhat embarrassed but accept it as some sort of an inevitability

I had a bad dream last night

First, I'm sleeping at my parents' house with my clothes on for some reason, with all my stuff in my pockets. My cell phone vibrates, and I pick up to answer, but there's silence on the other end. I lay in bed with my eyes shut for a while, then open them a little bit and play with this elongated tear drop shaped metal thingy floating in the air for a while. It seemed like an blimp made of aluminum. Then it flies away, and I realized that I just had no idea what the hell that thing was, and why is was hovering in my room. I then notice a constant churning sound going on outside.

I step out the front door and there are ENORMOUS versions of that little blimp thingy. They seem like they're celesial bodies-- very far away, but very huge. There were few dozen or so, but they practically filled the sky. They were also a sky blue color, so they blended in with the rest of the sky like when you see the moon during the day sometimes. It looked like one had crashed far off the horizon; it was sticking out of the ground and smoldering.

Directly in front of me is an endless line of these weird futuristic bulldozers, leaving no space in between them. They were white cubes about 10 feet tall with two mirrors on them where eyes would normally be if they were a face. I didn't see any wheels or other mode of transportation. They're churning up the ground, and moving at a slow pace. I jump to see over them and see nothing but a fresh dirt field for miles around, as if the rest of the world had just disappeared behind the line of bulldozers. They were about 50 feet away from my parents' house, and slowly inching their way forward.

I completely flip out and yell at everyone to get out of the house. They're not even there when I walk back in. There weren't any cars at the house, either. I run back out the front door, and notice that the bulldozers are now 10 feet away, and I could see the ground and asphalt being ripped up underneath them. I'm practically glued to the spot as if some force keep my body from moving and reacting, and I wake up as I see my feet disappear underneath the advancing line
