Maybe these other guys come upon Rapture, and they explore and ZOMG THEY NEED TO SURVIVE and then they get plasmids. Or.... hell, I don't know, zombie splicers? A genetic 'disease' caused by splicers making it to land? That could work.

I don't think a sequel is a far fetched idea. There's a few different directions they can go in. I just wonder if it'll be same setting or if they'll branch out.
