I wanted to find someone who is "computer literate" to build me a fancy-shmancy website, like a blog space, which I could use to post by Leftist diatribes....

And let's just say, were the price reasonable, I'd be willing to pay for such quality services, would anybody here be willing to give me an estimate and/or take on the job...?

i can sell you a portion of my hosting space where i can set you up with a blog script and such, but you would have to customize the look yourself

What i can do if oyu want is setup a blog scirpt exactly like this:

I can put it in a folder on my domain, and you can buy your own domain to direct to it. I would give you a fair share of space to upload pictures, and you could pay a portion of the monthly fees.
