I felt like he was just a more sympathetic/reasonable cole, where as cole see's a childs mother raped and eaten by a theron guard and goes "WHOOOO!!!!"

Not to mention.... why the fuck is Ice T in this game... And me and my friends have talked about starting a Gears of War thrash metal band for some time now, and he song was a complete disgrace.

No gears of war lore or story telling, just a quick cash in on the brutality and violence of the game itself. It was a real bummer.

What are you talking about? Cole is uber sympathetic. Didn't you read any of his backstory? Poor guy lost his entire family during E-Day so he joined up as a Gear. He has his funny moments, but he really cares about his pals. Cole even writes letters to his dead momma during the novels as a way of coping with his loss.



As for Griffin, goddamn did I hate him. I wish Marcus would have ripped him a new asshole. Gears also has a long streak of terrible songs based off of it. Ask Megadeth.

I did not know any of that about Cole. Here's the thing. I'm a white guy, and I'm big into Videogames and Metal, and for some reason, ever since Gears 2, I have ALWAYS been cole. I still don't know why, I just feel weird as any other character.

I really hated Dizzy at first in Gears 2, mainly because he was just a little too country bumpkin for my tastes, but as time went on I started to think he was a real bad ass. I even wrote lyrics and some riffs (none of the songs are by any means near complete) to a song based around a squad led by Dizzy called "Cowboys from Hail"

My favorite is Dom. I think it's because through gears 1 and 2 I played as Marcus and my roommate played as Dom, so I just connect him with my roommate. I kind of wish Tai had made it though. I really thought he was a cool dude.

Baird is an awesome guy as well. He can be an asshole sometimes, but he means well. I think I enjoy all the characters. They're all pretty great.



Except for Jace in Gears 3. He just bugged the crap out of me. It was like having a kid brother tagging along making stupid jokes and pretending to be a big, big man.

So I was level 25 and I had a few mutators unlocked, alot of characters and weapon skins and alot of progress towards other achievements and I turn on my 360 today to see that I have lost all of my progress somehow.

I'm back to level 1 and I don't know why. I googled it and apparently other people are having the same problem and no one is helping them. I called tech support, bitch asked me a bunch of stupid questions, then transferred me to a hardware specialist where I was on hold for 20 minutes until I hung up.

That sucks man. I make regular backups of saves that I don't want to lose. Like my Red Dead Redemption 5th legend online character and my gears character. I know you shouldn't have to, but I do.

Sorry I left yesterday before we had a chance to play online together. I had to get work done and had been playing too long. Still catching up from being sick when I'm not still being sick.
