Sorry for the delay in replying, it wasn't till you sent the reminder that I actually got round to listening to the tracks I downloaded. Your suggestions were very good, & it's such a shame that talented people like that get little exposure while these 'Pop Idol' Monsters terrorize the world with their generic kareoke.
Actually it's been very cold this summer, there have been just the odd days where it's actually risen above 20C (um, think that's 68F), last year it was well over 40C constantly, which is more regular. Yet, we came out of an extreamely cold winter that managed to last two months longer than it was meant to.
Weather, ay?

Hello, I'm a nice guy here, but that is only because most everybody else are extreamely evil & pompous. :/
I am quite evil & extreamely pompous.
Please do realise it's the rules of the board that mean I have to hate you now.

A 'Babe' is either an attractive lady or an infant child, I think.
My living conditions are better than they have been, because I recently purchased a new vacuum cleaner after my old one blew up back in early Febuary.
Other than that my life has just been the repeated actions of going to work, sleeping, & occasionally eating.
How are you?

James is indeed a pussy, as you said. He was the first person I'd seen on I-Mock to make a 'I'm leaving' thread & then come back, unfourtunatly that seemed to spark a trend. He likes to be the bad boy, but doesn't like it back.
& while I don't usually like to think this is true, as forums are my sole means of social interaction, it is only the internet, & we all know it isn't real.
Just carry on as you are, & the jokes will shift, someone else will fake leaving, and Jixby will be a dozen differant newbs. It's just like real life in many ways. Things Change, but always stay the same.

I'm currently working as a technician for a radio station, but a few years ago now I was a technician for a television production company that did alot of work for the BBC.
The problem with being a technician is that I'm not an engineer. An engineer knows how to design, repair, & instruct. A technician is just expected to repair, & occasionally design. So an engineer can work as a technician & appear to be a god with machines, a technician can't be an engineer, no matter how hard he tries, & he is only competant at the direct challenge, & has the pateince to try everything till a solution is found. Engineers innately know the solutions, but then they are gods with machines.
So to answer your question of what kind of Audio/Visural technician I am, the answer is 'A bad one'.

I know enough about computers to keep them working, & on the occasions I can't fix a particular problem, which has yet to occur, I consult Chimp, if I ever get round to not disliking him again.
If i had the money to build a computer for audio production, I would choose a soundblaster with XLR in & outputs. Quarter inch jacks do work, as do RCA phonos, but I prefer the balenced & easy to use 'professionalness' of XLR's... Plus wiring phonos & jacks s a bitch, compared to the ease of solderingthe wide sockets of XLR.
They are really expensive though.
