I thought they were peanut butter. They were wrapped like salt water taffy, only in orange or black papers?

I used to make wreaths out of them.

Normally I give them a swift blow to the head with some blunt object, but failing that some fun-sized chocolate bars. The kids in England never seem to really get into Halloween, especially around my area so we always end up with loads of chocolate left. Depending on if I get home from work before any Halloweeners get to my house, I normally answe the door in costume.

I actually have more candies leftover this year than normal, so I'll be leaving out a heaping bowl of candies for trick-or-treaters to feast upon. Wish I had a hidden camera so I could capture their reactions to it...

Probably nothing, as we haven't had even one trick-or-treater in the past 3 years.

I have sugar, just in case. Just not too much.

I had to tweak my selection because I remembered a couple of things.

1) there are a lot of 0-6 month olds on the block and their parents will probably be taking them around to show them off. Fortunately, I have some individually wrapped teething biscuits my daughter won't touch, so I'll have those out to give the babies.

2) I completely forgot about trick or treating for unicef until I saw boxes out at the mall trick or treat the other day. Now I'll have to have a bowl of change out. Nickels and pennies, because if it's how it used to be and kids are the same as they were in the 80s, very little of that money actually gets turned in.

Otherwise, still going with the treat bags. My mom and I are taking my daughter around tonight as Stay-Puft, since it's been so popular. Mr. Kitsa will be handing out the candy. I've got the Zombie garden all lit up and fake political signs out:

I have the big versions of those if anyone wants 'em.

I get 6-8 kids well after 8:30 so i know I'm their last stop so I give them little half-size cans of soda. I gave them a choice of normal and Jones halloween flavors. They all took the normal soda so i was stuck drinking candy corn, and pom flavored stuff. nasty nasty stuff. kids don't care if its got a werewolf on it they will stick with root beer and orage soda.

For those of you planning on giving out treats on Halloween, my buddy Andre and I have just finished a new music video that should serve as a warning from trick-or-treaters worldwide. We put a lot o' work into this, so please check it out

We like to give kids two choices: candy, or some random, unrelated thing. Last year it was a potato; this year, they're mystery bags. Some will have candy, so they break even, some will have a dollar in them, some have some cool stuff, like a book, and a gameboy game I put in, and others have just random junk, like a tortilla, dog biscuits, half a peso, and my favorite, a bag FILLED with acorns. They have to choose a number, and they get that bag. Should be a hit this year.

I went ahead and grabbed an 8 dollar mixed bag of pretty good stuff. Mostly fruity sour things. I'm going to go see Danzig tonight so I was like "I'll just set this bowl on the stoop" like I had planned. ONE kid came before I had left and I opened the door and the bowl was empty.

At least they left the bowl this year.

Got my house 2 years ago. Nary a mutant in attendance at the door on Halloween until this year. Of course, I have no candy on hand. *Shrugs* They will get their sugar elsewhere.

We had 7 in total. Two groups, both within a minute of each other.
