scott miller and the commonwealth: twang? americana? roots? i suck at labels.
i saw them saturday night at the pour house in raleigh, nc, though, and they sounded good as hell, really tight with great harmonies and seamless segways. they played a few just-written songs, a good number of v-roys songs, and ended with a killer version of "street fighting man."
and afterwards, they hung out like real people. scott hugged me and said "i love ya," and the drummer said we should visit him outside of nashville after the baby's born. :O
