Old May 12th, 2005, 01:16 AM        I accidentally spilled water on my keyboard. :(
If the keyboard was used while being wet, would that short it out?

Doesn't even have to be turned on to short it out.

Happened to me once and it royally fucked it up. I mean hitting the c key and getting adhga;iq.

has to at least be plugged in tho.

you can completely submerge and soak a keyboard and as long as it's 100% dry before you plug it back in, it'll be fine. some people have cleaned theirs in dishwashers on the top rack, but i wouldn't recommend putting one thru the drying cycle!!
