Is backwards compatibility really that difficult to program into a system? They designed a system which allows you to plug a piece of hardware into a pc and the OS will automatically read it and install it. You don't need to go through all the configuration BS anymore. But a preprogrammed DOS or pre-xp emulator thingy is just too damn hard I guess.
BTW I have the 32-bit version of vista, not the 64.
