Well, I dig quite a lot of Power Metal bands (Lost Horizon, Helloween, Gamma Ray, etc.)

TTD is more of a Traditional/Heavy metal heritage, but yes it's still quite cool

Some power metal is ok, I've only actually got albums by one band (Windir) and I rather enjoy them, so I'll probably start looking for some more in the near future.
Up until recently though, all my experiences with power metal have been pretty shit. There's a lot of crap out there, I just don't know the names of the bands/songs to stay away from so there'll probably be a hell of a lot of trial and error finding the decent stuff.
