Nuclear plants weak on antiterror training
Boston Globe

Nuclear weapons plants have eliminated or reduced antiterror training for guards, leaving the government unable to guarantee an adequate defense, the Energy Department's inspector general said yesterday. One plant has reduced training hours by 40 percent, and some plants conduct tactical training only in classrooms.

Huh. That sounds pretty bad, what with them being old and big fat terror targets. I mean, who needs a dirty bomb if the place you blow up is dirty to begin with? I wonder who might be in charge of inspecting Nuclear Power plants and making sure their secure? Golly, it's a puzzler. I mean, I sure wish there could be some way to focus a little on such a potentially key area of homeland security.
