It was definitely a big improvement over "No Substance" and "The New America" (though each of those still had some great songs), but I think they're even more back on track now with their last two releases. "The Empire Strikes First" and "New Maps of Hell" are just chock full o' great tracks.

And as far as lyrics go... I can't think of a better band out there.

I Absolutely love this album and have lost/replaced it about 3 times since 2002.

I've been a Bad Religion fan for years and rarely miss a chance to see them live, they're catalog is expansive enough that after seeing them live 6 times, they still play songs live that they hadn't before. And I'm not just talking new stuff, they dig deep and classic for their fans.

No Control is a great introduction for Bad Religion to people who prefer something harder, faster and with a much grittier biting edge. I Want To Conquer The World sits as my favorite BR song of all time.

I love this album too, but in my opinion you've got your album recommendations reversed. Start with Suffer or No Control first and then go to this.
