Kind of cute, actually. At first I thought they were twins, but they weren't. They headed over to the video games.
And then I noticed one of the girls smiling at me.
So I naturally assumed she was planning to steal something. That's... probably not normal, is it? But really, girls don't smile at me unless they're fighting back a laugh, or if they're trying to get away with something.
So I ask them if they need any help. Still smiling at me, the one girl says no, so I leave them be. But I still do my best to keep my eyes on them as I ring up other customers. Every time I look over, she looks back at me and smiles.
Bitch is going down.
Then she asks me for an application, while her sister/friend/lover plays the Gamecube demos. I walk over to pick one up. She's sill standing at the counter, and I can peek at the other one and see she's still playing Gamecube.
Anyway, they leave. I immediately start trying to take a closer look at the games, trading cards, etc. I can't see a damn thing missing. The only real time they'd have had an opportunity to sneak something would have been when the girl was playing Gamecube. And within her reach would be old XBox games and baseball cards. PERHAPS they might have been able to snag a Gamecube game when they were first looking around.
But near as I can tell, nothing was missing. I'd still like to think maybe they took a $5 pack of baseball cards so that my suspicions are justified. Because, come on. If that one smiled at me and DIDN'T steal, she's probably going to come back and rob me at gunpoint.
