If it's a good, possibly career-starting job, I'd cut my hair for it. If this is so, learn to pick your battles, man. Hair length isn't all that important. Besides, it's not so much an issue of sexual discrimination so much as the image that the company wants to display to it's clients and they have every right to do so. It's a business and promoting a normal, clean-cut image may be in their best interest. I'm sure that the company itself could give two shits whether you had long hair. Then again, if it's a piss-ant job, I probably would have told them to screw off too.

Holy crap shut up. Men and women are not the same, and people need to fucking deal with it. I learned this when I applied at an exotic dance place and was told to come back when I had a vagina. I chuckled saying that I would never get a vagina because I am a man, and that this was sex descrimnation.
