Three Miyazaki special edition DVDs in one day! Pretty fucking sweet. I just started to get into this master's films, but the ones I have seen have been amazing. I'll probably pick up Spirited Away today for sure, and perhaps the other two, Castle in the Sky and Kiki's Delivery Service, depending on the cost. I really wish a My Neighbor Totoro SE was being released too, since that's my favourite, but I guess I'll just have to wait and watch my divx for know. Anyone else planning on getting these or enjoy his films?

Princess Mononoke is my favorite movie .

I wish a special edition would come out for that one.

Hmm, they are both amazing. I say My Neighbor Totoro is better than both of them, but there are still a couple Miyazaki's left on my to see list. Anyway, picked up the Spirited Away DVD today, but I couldn't actually find a box set with all three releases in it. They were available, but I'll wait til I see them before buying.

I own "Spirited Away" and "Mononoke", I've seen "Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind" or whatever, but that' sit.

I have heard good things about his other stuff, but I'm reluctant to buy any of it until I have seen it. I don't know if I would like his stuff that's geared towards a younger audience as much as I like the other films I've seen.

Spirited Away is geared towards 10 year olds, so it's safe to say if you like that you'll like his other work. Definitely look for My Neighbor Totoro, which, while a "kid's film", is definitely more than that.

I picked up the other two. Castle in the Sky is really great, and is more of an action type film; it kind of felt like Star Wars meets Lord of the Rings meets Futurama. It's weird that way, but the film is damn good. I haven't watched Kiki's yet, but I'll post when I do if I think it's to childish or not. It looks pretty kid orientated, but I suspect it will still be amazing.

Isn't Totoro that movie with the giant animal thing that lives in the attic and the little girl yells at it?

Zaphire showed me some of that. It was cool.

No, it doesn't live in the attic. It lives in the forest, in a huge tree.
