I noticed that when i'm browsing the boards there's a skull to the far left in the URL bar. Where the IE icon usually is. How do you get that?

It doesn't always work, though. IE has a strange way of deciding when to download the icon, and when to use the default.

It goes away when it deletes your cookies or your temp files or whatever the fuck they are.
