Old Sep 16th, 2005, 12:03 PM        Countdown to an independant katrina Comission
Anyone care to take bets who many days it's going to be before the administration conceeds that people are not going to be satisfied with a republican controlled investigation of Katrina Response?

My prediction is that this will follow the same path as the 9-11 comission, the creation of the Homeland security department, Condo Rice's testimony, etc. They'll say absolutely not until it's finally clear which way the public wind is blowing and then they'll give in and claim this was what they wanted all along.

So why even bother? Can't we just skip ahead?

Does anybody out there think there WON'T end up being an independant comission?
