Readme file says:
Unarchive the core files into the Data directory by executing the following in the Windows Command Prompt:
> cd %HW2_ROOT%\Data
> ..\tools\bin\archive -a Homeworld2.big -e %HW2_ROOT%\Data.

How do you do this? Any help would be apreciated. Thanx in advance.

Or you could go to Best Buy and see if they'll sell you a brain to go with the computer you bought.

I replaced the ".." with the path to that folder which is:
CProgram Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\tools\bin\Archive
for some reason it returns this message 'C:Progam' is not recognized as an internal or exteranal command, operable progam or batch file. What should I do?

EDIT:I just felt like I should type this in too but you probably already know it
%HW2_ROOT% is a system variable that points to were Homeworld 2 is installed, I typed its variable name as
%HW2_ROOT% but it got replaced to just HW2_ROOT for some reason. This doesnt seem to be a problem since the command promt finds it.

It apparently wants DOS names. Replace "Program Files" with "Progra~1" and do likewise with any folder or file names longer than 8 characters.

How about you don't install it into a directory that has a name longer than 8 character, hmm?

Computers are only hard if you make them hard.

I changed and renamed folders so that none of them had more than 8 letters but it returned the same message again

P.S. should I get the latest windows update?

I hope you didn't rename Program Files.

Actually, I hope you did. I want to know what Windows would do.

I am going to stop paying attention to this thread because it is obvious that it is fake.
