Saw this anime last night about a brother and sister trying to survive the aftermath of their town being completely destroyed in WWII. Pretty damn serious and depressing subject matter for a Ghibli production, but I definitely recommend it. Anybody see it?

Yeah, I own it. I bought it last week, and watched it a couple days ago with my girlfriend. Very good film, I highly enjoy it, and think it's hysterical it was released as a double-bill with My Neighbour Totoro. Totoro is better, but they are both masterpieces.

I loved this movie. Probably one of the best anti-war movies I've ever seen. Maybe the best. I've owned it for about 2 years.

Totoro was cool but confusing. I want to get a giant plush Totoro.

Lol, this one girl in my 4th grade class was like obsessed with Totoro...

I haven't seen this movie yet, and I keep forgetting to check it out when I get the chance. I'll write it all over my body damnit.

"Totoro was cool but confusing."

Are you fucking serious? It's a kids film, what's so confusing?

I couldn't tell whether it was a real magic fantasy type of thing or just her imagination.

I saw Grave of the Fireflies, but I didn't really like it. I never really enjoyed anime in the first place though. I think they didn't need all of the descriptions of bathroom activities in it.

I love this movie. I thought it was great to see WWII from the perspective of one of the common people in an enemy country. I swear I almost hated it when Japan surrendered when viewing it in that context.
