I loved this movie too, but part of it might have been Disneyworld nostalgia kicking in. Rongi may have been born without a soul or a complete lack of taste in cinema, either one works.

Rongi, I appreciate the fact that you have your own opinion, and I'm not trying to take that away from you. I'm just trying to understand what you didn't like about a movie that I personally felt was about as perfect as a pirate movie could be. I'm not saying you're "wrong" or "stupid" for disliking it, I'm just curious as to why you hated it so much.

My favorite part was the sword fight scene in the blacksmith shop. The fight was in perfect time to the music.

This film was great! With all the good comments about it, I figured it'd be good, but it defied expectation. It definitely accomplished everything it could have; I mean, for a film based on a ride it's amazing. Depp made the film for sure, his 'pirate antics' were the shit.

i felt sick as hell when i went to see this movie an we got the fuckin werst seats cuz we were late, but it was a good movie anyways. Did anyone else notice that there was a lightbulb in the chandelier that fell from the ceiling in the begining of the movie?

I liked Johnny Depp's character... he was fine. But the movie itself? Goddamn, I never thought it would be possible to make a movie about pirates completely boring, but Disney pulled it off.

Aside from Depp's performance, it was a huge let-down. :/

I thought it was rather boring. It had no real 'plot' and nothing really to keep me watching it. The only thing that kept me wanting to stay in the theater was Johnny Depp.
