I think they mean post-war rebuilding, because their military is restrictred. At least, that how I interpret it.

Do you have anything about each country, or does that apply to anyone who goes along with the US?

Commiting to post war rebuilding is a very good thing. Bravo.

I really hope some of the 'commitments' on that list are as good as Turkeys, wht with their commiting to not letting us ue their land or air space.

You neglected to mention that Powell said their are 15 nation on our side who are so terrified of what their citizens would do to them if they found out they don't want to be mentioned by name.

GO DEMOCRACY!

Please. Over half those countries have nothing to contribute to a war on Iraq.

As for my own, get this: the current stance is that the Netherlands politically support the war but won't provide military support. Pretty much a lengthy way of saying we don't want to piss anyone off. If this were unanimous decision I'd be ashamed, but the smaller political parties are still debating issues, some demanding a real pro-war stance, others a serious anti-war stance.

So, although these countries have nothing to support the war with, you believe we need 100% approval from all countries?

My point was that these numbers prove absolutely nothing. The US may have some strong allies, but not many.

Your point is moot Satan, as you have no idea what you are talking about. War isn't fought on horseback anymore, and in actuality, these countries have quite a bit to offer.

Bases of Operations, supply storage/handling/shipping, tactical insight, Intellegence, troops and support. facilities for wounded, transient, and training personnell, logistical and tactical aide, detention centers for prisoners of war, transient civilians and defecters. . .The list goes on and on.

The_Rorschach

As most of that list are in faraway Europe and personnel offerings are in the neighborhood of, at best, a couple of hundred people, I would dispute the majority of your list. If their tactical insight is so keen, then why do so many foreign countries come to West Point to train? Give me a break!

Wait. Cobra is on our side? But don't they hate GI Joe? And GI Joe is American. I'm confused.

Chaos, you are a hopeless twit.

After a tour as a CT in the Navy, I can honestly say that we receive a great deal of intellegence, tactical and otherwise, from many countries. Israel, Kuwait and Afghanistan could provide information on Iraq that we may not have yet. Whether they've seen him as a threat or ally, surely they have been paying more keen attention to his actions that we have and in all probability know a few things we don't.

Go back to your homework and let the adults talk, okay?
