Actualy, "Marilyn" in "Marilyn Manson" IS refers to Marilyn Monroe, in contrast to Manson, which was a name of some nazi killer, pretty famous then...

Yes he got the first name from Marilyn Monroe and his last name from Charles Manson. His old name was Bryan Warener. But I picked my name because of Marilyn Manson not monroe.
